Coffee Shop AU

COFFEE SHOP
An absolute staple. No matter what side of the counter you're on, the coffee shop is the absolute center of your life. Whether you're a barista, or just camped out in the corner with the good outlet while you write your novel. Perhaps you just really want to tell the cute person behind the counter that you've loved them since they gave you that coffee six months ago. Or you're overwhelmed with orders and nothing is going right. For good or bad, everyone needs their caffiene.

"Excuse me?" She planted her hands on her hips, trying not to laugh, "I said I believe you more than I believe him, which means I believe you at least a little bit."

She shrugged then, relaxing once more, "And besides, you at least came up with some kind of background unlike Mr. Agent over there." Really he was nice enough, quiet, always left a tip, didn't try to get anyone's number, and she didn't mind having him there even with his odd choice of job description.

Her smile had returned, "So either you've just got a good attention to detail, or you're telling the truth and probably hoping I won't believe it."

"A little bit?" She manages to keep from laughing and instead goes serious. It's likely all for the better that Angie doesn't completely believe her. But, if Angie ever finds herself doing so fully, Peggy can say she at least was honest, now. "Well then, by all means, please accept my apologizes." Scooting closer to the counter before taking a stab at the pie she watches Angie curiously.

"Considering you believe me a little, what's keeping you from believing me entirely?" She presses, shoving the slice of pie into her mouth and talking around it. She's starving, alright. Manners be damned. "You don't strike me as the type to believe only men can be agents or spies."

"Oh lord no." She replied, shaking her head and looking mildly affronted that Peggy might think something like that of her, "We're better at it, generally speaking, I know about the whole thing with the Girl Guides."

She waved a hand in front of her face to brush that away, instead just answering the question, "And it's the fact that you're actually telling me, I always thought that kind of thing was supposed to be super hush-hush, need-to-know basis kind of thing."
