[Ivar had met Alfred his freshman year. Having skipped a grade and looking smaller then the rest, the younger teen was a prime target for bullies. Ivar had found him cornered by three upperclassmen who were trying to stuff him in a locker. It had ended with two of them thrown in a dumpster and one of them with a broken nose.

Ivar had been suspended for the act, and when he got back, he found he now had a quiet, persistent freshman following him around like a shadow. Perhaps it was because Alfred wasn't afraid of the teen who wore the leather vests with the sleeves ripped off and belt with the bullets piercing them that he tolerated him. It appeared he now had a new friend. Well, at least it meant he didn't have to eat lunch by himself anymore.]
