Are you a werewolf or a swearwolf?

WEREWOLVES

The full moon is out, and that means the changes are coming. Will you become a horrific, out of control monster intent on devouring everything in its path? Or are you more the sort that can change at will? Everything from full wolf to just getting a furry face with creepy eyes. Whether you're out to find a victim or a pack, you're in for a wild night.

[Most interested to play the wolf!]

[Interested in an AU where Stick turned him during his training and Elektra was sent back to get him to rejoin the pack. But really, I'm a slut for werewolf AU and I'll happily cram him in anywhere. He can be drawn to another wolf or possibly helping one figure out how to be one. Only canon familiar up to Defenders. Cast/Crosscanon/OCs all okay.]

[I love her as a lone wolf. I can go with her having been turned during the accident (which would have involved a wolf), turned by Kilgrave, or I'm also open to playing her being turned in this scenario. Jess and her wolf are not friends (yet), but I love the idea of someone trying to get her to accept them as a packmate (or mate). Only familiar up to the end of Defenders. (I;ve heard how S2 and 3 end) Cast/Crosscanon/OCs all okay (No Kilgraves).]

[I'm up for all sorts of shenanigans. Here are a few ideas but don't let it stop you from suggesting others.

- A temporary potion means this change (from full wolf to simply ears and a tail) is something Sarah has to deal with for anywhere from days to months.
- A permanent change that is something Sarah is learning to cope with as just another problem in her every day life.

Either one of these could be incorporated into Sarah finding a pack to help her learn how to deal with the change, another lone wolf who will show her the ropes so to speak or a mate in this whole mess. OTA for gen, F/M 21+ for mates or anything romantic/smut based.

Canon, crosscanon and OCs all welcome. I'm happy to write starters if you wish as well.]

Things were... complicated. Bucky was pretty sure they always would be, and it wasn't a bad thing, but it was still something that was going to have to be worked through.

Things had been a different kind of complicated during his time in Wakanda, because being the only wolf in a whole bunch of cats that were family -or as good as- on top of being a pack made it more complicated. But they'd accepted him after a while, the kids more easily than the adults, the same as when they were on two legs instead of four. That and one of the improvements in the arm Shuri had designed over the one from Hydra was that it would shift along with the rest of him instead of having to go without.

But now the world had ended, sort of, and then ...un-ended, kind of, and the gang was back together, more or less, which was ultimately a good thing, but not an easy thing, which was why Bucky was asking for the third time that day: "You sure about this? I'm damn big for a wolf, might not be inclined to play nice. Probably safer if I lock myself in."

"Yeah, I've seen Steve before." Sam's tone was dry; the other super-soldier was nearly twice his size in wolf shape, and Sam wasn't what most would call small. He figured Bucky would be the same way. They could both kick his ass in a fight, but Sam would give them a run for their money, at least. More importantly, Sam could act as bait and distract him from anyone less capable of self-defense.

"Don't worry about it, I got you." Well. That was debatable, but the important thing was sounding confident. He didn't blame Bucky for not wanting to stay in Wakanda; the looks everyone gave him made his hackles rise. They'd all been incredibly polite, but it had felt like they were one misstep away from an explosive fight.

(Maybe he and T'Challa had hit it off on the wrong foot. Maybe.)

"We got all these woods up here." Sam gestured to the trees around the compound. "Only thing to rip up is me and the wildlife. I'm not gonna let you lock yourself in a room to wait it out when there's a better option." Sam got antsy enough if he had to stay inside when he changed, and he didn't want to think about what Bucky would be like, what he might have had to endure with Hydra through the years.

Staying locked in was what he'd been used to before Wakanda, and even that had been mostly a case of staying away from everyone else for as long as possible, someone always found him, usually because he was still somewhere near his hut or the river and because the goats weren't scared of him in the least, which had resulted in one of them getting bitten, but only a little, and none of them actually being eaten which was as much of a surprise to him as it was anyone else.

The problem was that Sam had been classified as a threat, and he didn't know whether or not the wolf would remember that was no longer a standing order, and even if it did, he couldn't be sure that it wouldn't just decide it didn't like Sam on principle, more territorial than he had any right to be.

Finally he just nodded, "Okay, okay fine, but for the record I still think staying inside is a better idea." Partly because he wasn't looking forward to having to hike back in the morning if he hadn't done so while still fuzzy.

[ super lazy tlou specific au: instead of an outbreak of cordyceps, there's an outbreak of lycanthropy! most people die when bitten, some turn into horrible, out of control monsters, and a lucky few just end up werewolves. but it's still basically the apocalypse and martial law/walled cities/etc are still the norm.

or pitch me something completely different, i'm flexible on the details. but joel is def a werewolf and i am 100% here for pack dynamics (esp grudgingly adopting non-werewolves and equally grudging bonding over werewolf baggage) and/or joel leaning way too hard into his violent murdermonster side. ]

I'm thinking he might be the more "had trouble controlling the transformation at first, now does it at will" side of things. What Minke can do, outside of his own universe, could be considered freaky witchcraft and the like, too. (His card readings are incredibly accurate.)]

Open to all sorts of werewolf forms and canons, except the mindless killer thing. For Harry Potter verse I usually adopt some other canon's lycanthropy. (My most common forms for her are from Vampire Diaries, Underworld, or some variation there of.)

It didn't cure his brittle bone syndrome as a human, but he's fine as a wolf, which just means he tends to go a little batshit crazy every month because he's drunk on the power of being able to run. He's the alpha of his father's former pack and keeps them all together through sheer aggressiveness and tenacity.]

[Can play him as either a werewolf hunter or as a hunter who got turned into a werewolf on a hunt which now causes him no end of self-loathing.]

[A battered one-eyed wolf who rose from beta to alpha out of necessity rather then want. Keeps getting attacked by hunters and other wolves but hasn't bit the dust yet.]

[A pretty werewolf who tends to act far more vapid and like a bimbo then she really is. Lurine knows exactly what's going on around her at all times and will gladly flatten any challenging wolves.]

[Beware the werewolf that has managed to grow old. He may have grey on his muzzle, but Barristan has followed many alpha wolves and outlived almost all of them. He knows the latest one he serves, Dany, will be the last, but he'll make the most of it with the time he has left.]

[The de Rolos as a family of werewolves could be a fun AU. Or perhaps one where Cassie was changed during her time with the Briarwoods. She could also just be a friend of the pack.]
