Lucifer Morningstar, LA's most notorious private detective. Best or worst depended on who you asked. No one quite understood how he did what he did, but he got results. He'd come to be known throughout the city as simply The Devil, and not just because of his the name he insisted to be given. Rumor had it that he could look someone in the eye and make them spill their deepest secrets. Most who spoke of him painted the picture of a suave, charming, mysterious gentleman who swept them off their feet. Those who actually spent time with him...told a different story.

During the day he could be found in his office, iconic red-soled shoes propped up on his desk as he read through the day's papers. A glass of whiskey sat at his elbow, regardless of the hour. By night he could be found at a roaring club, a holdover from the prohibition days. He rarely retired for the night without one or two attractive people on his arm. Rather conveniently, he lived on the top floor for that very building.
